How to plan your trip

It is often difficult to know where to start when planning a trip around the world, especially if you have a lot of time and a large budget, because the whole world is at your fingertips! To give you a little help, here is a list of things to consider before making your request for quote. This will help you decide what kind of trip you need and where you will need multi-destination flights, tours and accommodation.

1. Do some research

You will find a well of information to inspire you by consulting the magazines and specialized guides, the Internet sites and the blogs devoted to the subject. You can also read the blogs of our team that will give you some ideas of destinations or things to do. It is useful to know what is essential and what is not when your itinerary exceeds the budget that you had set for example.

Your trip may give you the opportunity to see a place that caught your attention, but be warned: adding Timbuktu to your itinerary may add hundreds of pounds to the price of your ticket!

2. Decide where you want to go and what you want to see

Take a map of the world, write down all the places you want to see and put them in a geographical order. You can choose to travel east or west, and you do not have to keep going in the same direction. You can do some zigzags or retrace your steps (for example: Paris – Beijing, land route to Hong Kong – Bangkok – Sydney, this route is allowed, but Paris – Bangkok – Cairo – Sydney is not really possible ).

You do not have to go around the world completely. You can visit Australia on the way to and from the same part of the world, or start your trip through Africa and return to Asia for example. Although most round the world tickets include Australia and / or New Zealand, you do not have to visit these countries.

In terms of popular destinations, French Polynesia is probably one of the favorite among French travelers. We can understand them! Who has never dreamed of lounging on the heavenly beaches of the Pearl of the Pacific. However, have you thought about these alternatives?

  • Fiji: easy to explore by boat and much cheaper than French Polynesia
  • The Cook Islands: cheaper than French Polynesia, with similar and equally paradisiacal landscapes, but less touristy
  • Samoa: ideal for discovering a traditional culture
  • Toronto: you need limo such as airport limo Toronto

3. Decide how you will travel

If you have the time, why not incorporate routes by land in your itinerary? The most popular are Bangkok – Singapore, Saint Petersburg – Beijing via Mongolia, Santiago – Lima, Sydney – Cairns and Auckland – Christchurch.
